COVID-19 Update

The SmileMobile is open and to reduce the spread of COVID-19, the SmileMobile program is implementing new infection control recommendations and protocols based on the Center for Disease Control, American Dental Association and OSHA. All these changes and precautions are to keep you, your family, and the dental team safe and healthy. When you call for an appointment, you’ll be asked basic health screening questions (i.e. Do you have a cough, fever or experiencing shortness of breath?) to make sure you are healthy and ready for an appointment.

To keep you safe, all areas of the SmileMobile will be cleaned and disinfected frequently and hand sanitizer will also be available. You will see certain precautions in place for physical distancing and when you arrive you will be asked to wait in your car until your exam.  You will be asked the health screening questions and your temperature will be taken. For the safety of you and the staff, we request that you wear a mask and wash, or disinfect your hands (hand sanitizer will be provided to you).

In addition to your dental examination, we may do one or more of the following:

  • Oral health education
  • Sealants (helps prevent cavities)
  • Fluoride varnish
  • Temporary filling
  • Simple extraction
  • Silver Diamine Fluoride (stop cavities)
  • X-rays

Due to COVID-19, we will not be providing services that generate aerosols (i.e. cleanings, fillings etc.)
